About this product
The Thor 11-714 Thorex Nylon Hammer has a 44mm face and weighs 850g, suited to general assembly, maintenance and construction work where force is needed without damaging the surface being struck. It has a chrome-plated zinc head, giving corrosion resistance and added weight, fitted to a plastic handle with a rubber grip for comfort and reduced slippage during use. It comes fitted as standard with two screw-in white nylon faces, made from impact-resistant Nylon 6/6 (Shore D57-61). These one-piece moulded faces have no metal pegs or inserts to mark the workpiece, and a shoulder design adds strength against misdirected blows. Serrations in the head keep the faces secure during use, and they are designed to be replaced by hand once worn. Alternative colour-coded faces of different hardness are also available.
