About this product
Replacement hide face for Size 5 Thor split head hammers, with a face diameter of 63mm (2 1/2in). Made from compressed, sustainable water buffalo hide, it absorbs recoil and dampens sound while delivering a firm strike that won't mark finished surfaces.
The hide construction suits delicate work, furniture restoration and noise-sensitive environments where a firm strike is needed without damaging the surface. It allows Thor split head hammers to be maintained and extended in life by replacing worn faces rather than the whole hammer.
