About this product
This DMT D6E is a 150mm diamond whetstone in Extra Fine grade, identified by its green colour-coded circle. It carries a 1200 grit (9 micron) monocrystalline diamond surface, intended for final polishing and honing rather than initial edge shaping, producing sharp, refined edges on chisels, plane irons, carving tools and similar precision blades.
The continuous diamond surface gives even contact across the blade for consistent, scratch-free results, and the stone will not break, chip, crack, hollow or groove with use. It is fitted with non-slip rubber feet and supplied with a non-skid mat for stability during use.
Water should be used for lubrication rather than oil, avoiding mess or odour. The grit specification is etched into the side of the stone for easy identification.
