About this product
This DMT 200 x 75mm bench whetstone is an Extra Fine grade diamond sharpening stone, marked with a green identification circle, giving 1200 grit at 9 micron particle size. It suits final polishing after initial sharpening, producing keen, refined edges on precision tools and instruments.
The stone uses monocrystalline diamond in a continuous surface, so light pressure with just a few strokes is enough to hone hard materials such as carbide and steel. It is built to resist breaking, chipping, cracking or grooving.
Water is used for lubrication rather than oil, keeping the process free of smell and mess. Non-slip rubber feet and an included non-skid mat help keep the stone stable during use, and the grit size is etched into the side for easy identification.
