About this product
This 200 x 75mm DMT Diamond Sharp Whetstone is a Fine grade stone, giving 600 grit with a 25 micron particle size, identified by its red marker. It suits regular maintenance sharpening and edge refinement, sitting between coarser sharpening and finer polishing, and is well suited to chisels, plane blades, knives and other cutting tools.
The stone uses a monocrystalline diamond surface, said to sharpen efficiently with light pressure and only a few strokes. It is used with water rather than oil for lubrication, avoiding mess or smell, and can be used on hard materials including carbide and steel.
It has rubber feet and comes with a non-skid mat to keep it stable during use. The grit size is etched into the side of the stone for easy reference.
