About this product
This 250mm double-sided diamond whetstone from DMT combines a Blue Coarse face (325 grit, 45 micron) with a Black Extra Coarse face (220 grit, 60 micron), suited to heavy-duty restoration and general workshop sharpening.
The Blue Coarse side is intended for general carpentry tools, tinsnips, side cutters, wood bits and garden tools, giving an all-purpose sharpening surface. The Black Extra Coarse side is aimed at more demanding jobs such as restoring damaged woodworking tools, cold chisels, axes and lawn edgers.
The stone has a rigid, precision construction that resists chipping, cracking or hollowing, and is used with water rather than oil, avoiding mess and odour. It is suitable for both carbide and steel tools, with colour-coded circles marking each grit for identification.
