About this product
This 250mm double-sided diamond whetstone from DMT combines a Blue Coarse side (325 grit, 45 micron) with a Red Fine side (600 grit, 25 micron), giving a single stone for both general material removal and finer edge refinement. The dual-coloured markings make it easy to identify which grit you're using.
The Red Fine side suits woodworking tools, carbide tooling, router bits, 3D bits, and woodworking or kitchen knives, producing a keen, polished edge. The Blue Coarse side is suited to general carpentry tools, tin snips, wood flat bits, Stanley knives, masonry drills, chisels, garden tools, fish hooks and darts.
The diamond surface is lightweight but rigid, resisting chipping, cracking or grooving, and is used with water rather than oil for a cleaner sharpening process.
