About this product
This double-sided diamond whetstone from DMT combines a blue Coarse side (325 grade, 45 micron) with a green Extra Fine side (1200 grade, 9 micron), giving a full sharpening range in one 200mm tool. The Coarse side suits knives, woodworking tools and tungsten carbide tooling, while the Extra Fine side is intended for general carpenters' tools, wood flat bits, auger bits, garden tools, darts, fish hooks and masonry drills.
The rigid diamond construction resists breaking, chipping, cracking, hollowing or grooving, and it stays lightweight in use. Water is used for lubrication rather than oil, keeping the work area clean and free of smell, and it can hone hard materials including carbide and steel. Each side is marked with a coloured circle for quick grit identification.
