About this product
This Marshalltown finishing trowel has an 11 x 4½ inch (280 x 115mm) stainless steel blade, suited to detail work and medium-sized plastering jobs. The compact blade size aids manoeuvrability and control in tighter spaces while still covering ground efficiently. Being stainless steel, it is easier to clean and resists corrosion, giving it a longer working life than standard steel blades, and it is cross-ground to hold its shape under repeated use.
The blade is fitted to a bass wood handle via an aluminium alloy mounting that is heat treated and machine-finished for a precise fit. The Diamond Shank locates into the handle's square hole to stop it turning, while hardened steel rivets, including an extra-large toe rivet, secure the blade at key stress points. The trowel is not welded, avoiding embrittlement that can cause premature breakage.
