The Starrett Fastcut Bi-Metal Holesaw (38mm) is designed for tradespeople needing reliable hole cutting across wood, plastics and metals. It features bi-metal construction, with high-speed steel teeth electron beam welded to an alloy steel body for extended tool life, and is compatible with standard arbors.
A variable pitch tooth design (5.5 TPI/25mm) reduces vibration and improves heat and wear resistance, giving a smoother, faster and cleaner cut than earlier constant pitch saws. It is particularly suited to cutting stainless and mild steel sheet, as well as tubes with a wall thickness of up to 3mm. Cutting depth is 41mm.
