About this product
The DeWalt DCP580 18v XR Cordless Brushless Planer is a bare unit, supplied without battery or charger, aimed at tradespeople who already have compatible XR batteries. It runs on a brushless motor for efficient, extended use and features a large twin blade drum with tungsten carbide tipped reversible blades running at 15,000rpm, giving a smooth finish on timber up to 82mm wide.
It offers a maximum cutting depth of 2.0mm with 0.1mm adjustment increments, and a rebate depth of 9mm for joinery work. The front and rear shoes are milled in situ for accuracy and stability, and the compact, lightweight design suits horizontal, vertical or overhead use. It is compatible with the AirLock dust extraction system, and onboard storage keeps blades and keys to hand.
Supplied with reversible TCT blades, a hex wrench, torx key and guide fence; one version also includes a blade alignment plate.
