About this product
The Makita DKP181Z is an 18v LXT cordless brushless planer supplied as a bare unit, without battery, charger or case — suited to existing Makita LXT owners. It offers a no-load speed of 12,000 RPM, an 82mm planing width, up to 3mm planing depth and a maximum rebate depth of 25mm.
Automatic Torque Drive Technology adjusts cutting speed to load conditions, while a soft start and electronic brake add control and safety. The base includes three chamfering grooves and supports left or right chip ejection, with depth adjusted via a front knob.
A spring-loaded stand raises the base automatically when not in use, protecting the blades and workpiece. An easy blade-setting system and on-tool hex wrench storage make blade changes straightforward. Weight is around 3.3kg.
