Bahco 2101G-160 ERGO side cutting pliers are 160mm side cutters suited to general trade, electrical and maintenance work. Made from high-performance steel with a black anti-corrosion finish, the cutting edges are induction hardened to 62 HRC for durability. Two-component handles combine a thermoplastic surface with polypropylene for a secure grip. Progressive cutting edges let the pliers tackle hard materials such as piano wire near the joint, and softer materials like copper or plastic-insulated wire towards the tip. A precision screw joint keeps the edges aligned, and the reduced joint-to-edge distance improves leverage. Round jaws aid access in tight spaces. An on/off return spring automatically opens the jaws for easier cutting, and can be switched off for storage. Cutting capacity: copper 3.8mm, ferrous 2.5mm, piano wire 2.0mm. Weight: 162g.
