Bahco 8231 ERGO™ slip joint pliers are professional waterpump-style pliers for plumbers, heating engineers and maintenance contractors working with pipework, compression fittings and stubborn fasteners. A unique thumb-operated button allows rapid one-handed adjustment across 13 positions, letting the parallel jaws adapt quickly to different pipe and fastener sizes. The jaws are made from specially hardened Chrome-Vanadium steel, with both flat and pipe grip surfaces, and a phosphated, oil-impregnated finish to resist corrosion. A wide 51mm jaw opening is combined with a compact 225mm overall length, suiting tradespeople who need strong gripping capability without bulky tools. Handles use a dual-material ERGO™ design, with a thermoplastic outer surface for comfortable grip and a polypropylene core for rigidity.
