About this product
This Knipex 140mm diagonal cutter is designed for general-purpose wire cutting, with a narrow head shape suited to confined spaces. It is VDE tested up to 10,000V and safe for use on live systems up to 1,000V, conforming to DIN EN/IEC 60900.
The head is forged from vanadium electric steel, multi-stage oil-hardened and chrome plated. Cutting edges are additionally induction-hardened to approximately 62 HRC, giving clean cuts on wire including thin copper, even at the tips of the blades.
Cutting capacities are approximately 1.8mm for hard wire, 2.5mm for medium-hard wire and 4.0mm for soft wire. The handles are multi-component grips for comfortable use.
