About this product
This Knipex 180mm diagonal cutter is designed for all-round wire cutting work, including tasks near live parts. It is VDE tested up to 10,000V and safe for use up to 1,000V, conforming to DIN EN/IEC 60900, with multi-component grips for insulation.
The head is forged from vanadium electric steel, multi-stage oil-hardened and chrome plated, with a narrow profile suited to confined areas. Cutting edges are induction-hardened to around 62 HRC, giving clean cuts even at the tips, including on thin copper wire.
Cutting capacities are approximately 2.5mm for hard wire, 3.0mm for medium-hard wire and 4.0mm for soft wire.
