About this product

These 250mm Stanley FatMax aviation snips are designed for straight cuts and wide curves in sheet materials, suiting HVAC work, roofing and metal fabrication tasks such as ductwork, flashing and cladding. They cut up to 18 gauge cold-rolled steel or 23 gauge stainless steel, and are also suitable for aluminium, sheet uPVC, wire mesh, leather, copper and plastic. The blades are forged from chrome molybdenum steel for strength and durability, with a serrated cutting edge that grips material and helps prevent slipping. A one-handed automatic latch allows quick release, adjustment-free fasteners keep the blades secure, and bi-material, colour-coded handles (yellow for straight cut) give a comfortable, slip-resistant grip. The tool meets or exceeds ANSI standards.
