About this product
The Makita DGD800 is an 18V LXT cordless die grinder for metalworking surface-preparation tasks such as grinding, smoothing and cutting. It has a long nose and slim motor housing for a comfortable grip, with a round collet nut to help avoid damage to the workpiece. A slide switch with lock-on feature reduces operator fatigue, while vent slots direct exhaust air away from the user, and a rubber cover gives heat insulation and a non-slip surface.
A torque limiter protects the motor and drivetrain, extending the tool's working life. Collet capacity is 6mm, with no-load speed quoted between 25,000 and 26,000 rpm depending on source. Weight is given as either 1.7kg or 2.0kg.
This is a body-only unit supplied without battery, charger or case, aimed at those who already own Makita 18V LXT batteries. It comes with a collet cone and two wrenches for collet changes.
