About this product
The Makita JS1602 is a 240V metal shear designed for cutting straight lines or curves in aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel, with a minimum external cutting radius of 30mm and a clean, burr-free cutting action. It is double insulated and runs at 4000 strokes per minute with a continuous input power of 380W.
The tool features a slimmer, ribbed motor housing and rear cover for a comfortable, secure grip, along with a conveniently placed slide switch for one-handed operation. Its lightweight, compact design aids manoeuvrability in tight or overhead spaces.
Cutting capacities are up to 2.5mm in aluminium (200N/mm), 1.6mm in mild steel (400N/mm), and 1.2mm or 0.8mm in stainless steel (600N/mm and 800N/mm respectively). It weighs 1.6kg without cable and comes with a wrench holder and 3mm hex wrench.
