About this product
The Makita DJR186 is an 18V LXT cordless reciprocating saw supplied body only, without battery, charger or case — suited to those already invested in the Makita 18v LXT battery system. It uses a newly designed crank mechanism for efficient cutting, handling timber up to 255mm and mild steel pipe up to 130mm, with variable speed control up to 2,800 strokes per minute and a 32mm stroke length.
Practical features include a tool-less blade change system for quick swaps on site, an electric brake to stop the blade promptly once the trigger is released, a lock-off lever to prevent accidental starts, and an ergonomically designed handle for comfortable use. The saw weighs 3.8kg, with sound pressure of 84 dB(A) and sound power of 95 dB(A).
