About this product
The Makita 9031 is a compact 30mm belt sander suited to precision work in confined spaces and on contoured surfaces, such as detailed woodworking, restoration and metalwork where larger sanders are impractical. It runs on a 550W motor with fully variable belt speed from 200 to 1,000 metres per minute, allowing the speed to be matched to the material being worked.
Control is aided by a multi-position side handle for different working angles and a lock-on button for continuous use without holding the trigger. The tool is double insulated for user safety and can be connected to a Makita vacuum cleaner or dust collector.
It weighs 2.1kg, takes 30 x 533mm belts, and is supplied with 10 abrasive belts and a side grip. This is the 110V version.
