About this product
A 5 x 80mm multi-purpose screw from ForgeFix, supplied with a countersunk head and Pozidriv-compatible drive. The longer length suits heavy duty applications and thicker materials where extra penetration and holding power are needed. It is used across joinery, electrical, plumbing and general DIY work, and is suitable for PVCu, timber, chipboard, MDF and similar materials.
The zinc plated finish protects against oxidation by forming a barrier and acting as a sacrificial anode. The Pozidriv drive has four extra contact points compared to Phillips, reducing cam-out and allowing greater torque with correct tooling, and is identifiable by a 45-degree embossed line on the head. The countersunk head sits flush for a smooth finish, and the single thread design aids quick insertion with strong pull-out resistance. Supplied in a box of 100.
