About this product
The Makita HR1840 is a compact, lightweight SDS Plus rotary hammer drill suited to precise drilling of smaller holes. Its 470W motor offers two operation modes, rotary hammer and rotary only, and the SDS Plus chuck allows quick, tool-free bit changes with secure retention.
Variable speed control and right/left rotation let users match speed to material and task, while a torque limiter and rubber-coated handle aid control and comfort. No-load speed is 0-2,100/min with an impact rate of 0-4,800/min and impact energy of 1.4 Joules.
Maximum drilling diameters are 24mm in wood, 18mm in concrete and 13mm in steel, with an optimum concrete drilling range of 4-10mm. It has a 2.5m power cord and weighs around 2-2.4kg without cable. Supplied with a depth gauge, side handle band and carrying case.
