About this product
The Dormer E500 is a coarse metric taper tap made from high-speed steel, designed for cutting M10 x 1.5mm threads by hand or machine. Its straight flute design allows effective chip clearance, suiting a range of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals.
As a taper (first) tap, it is intended for starting threads and works well as part of a set with second and bottoming taps when tapping blind holes. It conforms to ISO 529 with a 6H tolerance and has a bright surface finish.
