About this product
The Dormer E500 is a metric coarse straight flute tap made from high-speed steel (HSS), suitable for cutting threads by hand or in a machine. It works across a range of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals, with the straight flute design giving effective chip removal for smooth, accurate threading.
This is the Second (intermediate) tap in a three-piece set alongside the Taper and Bottoming taps, used together for blind holes. Size M10 with a 1.5mm pitch, overall length 80mm, tolerance class 6H, to ISO 529, with a bright surface finish.
