About this product
The Dormer E500 is an M10 x 1.5mm coarse-thread HSS tap with a straight flute design, suitable for general-purpose threading in steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals. Straight flute taps can be used by hand or in a machine and are versatile enough for through or blind holes.
This is a bottoming (plug) tap, typically used as the third tap in a set alongside taper and second taps when working blind holes. It is made to ISO 529 with a 6H (Class 2) tolerance and has a bright surface finish.
