About this product
The Dormer E500 is a coarse metric HSS tap with straight flutes, suitable for general-purpose threading in steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals. It can be used by hand or in a machine, and is designed to tap both through and blind holes, with straight flute taps typically used as part of a set when working on blind holes.
This is the Second (intermediate) tap in the set, sized M12 with a 1.75mm thread pitch and an overall length of 89mm. It conforms to ISO 529 with a 6H tolerance and has a bright surface finish.
