The DEWALT DCB546 is an XR FlexVolt slide battery that automatically switches between 18V and 54V, making it compatible with both the 54V FlexVolt range and DEWALT's 18V XR cordless tool platform. This means a single battery can cover a wide variety of tools rather than needing separate battery systems.
On an 18V XR tool the battery provides 6.0Ah capacity for extended runtime, while in 54V FlexVolt mode it delivers 2.0Ah for higher-power applications. It also has an onboard fuel gauge so charge status can be checked at a glance.
Suited to professional tradespeople such as carpenters and electricians who need reliable cordless power for heavy-duty cutting, drilling and fastening throughout the day, it also offers longer runtime than 18V XR 4.0Ah or 5.0Ah batteries.
