About this product
Vitax SBK Brushwood Killer is a selective weedkiller for brambles, nettles, dock, woody weeds, hardwood saplings and tree stumps in grass and other neglected non-crop areas. It leaves grass unharmed, making it suitable for reclaiming overgrown pastures, fields, paddocks and boundaries. The 1 litre size suits larger areas and more extensive infestations.
Its active ingredient, Triclopyr, is particularly effective on woody plants and is commonly used for brush control on rights of way and defoliation of wooded areas. It also controls broadleaf weeds such as Creeping Charlie.
Apply from May to October when soil is moist and weeds are actively growing, with June to August best for woody weeds. Treat tree stumps in Autumn or Winter, avoiding the sap-rising period. Leave at least six weeks before replanting. The product is classed as an irritant.
