About this product
Bondloc B270 Studlock is a permanent green threadlocking adhesive supplied in a 10ml bottle, suited to occasional use, small-scale repairs and field applications where a portable size is useful. It locks studs up to 1in, sealing threaded assemblies against leakage and corrosion, and is resistant to fuels, lubricants and most industrial liquids and gases.
It removes the need for double nutting or welding on critical assemblies, and allows reduced casting thickness and lighter assemblies with less assembly stress, helping to avoid cracked castings caused by interference fit stresses.
Based on a dimethacrylate resin, it fixes in 10 minutes without an activator or 5 minutes with one, has a viscosity of 500 cps and gap fill of 0.25mm, and operates between -55°C and 180°C. Full cure takes 12 hours, with good strength reached after 2 hours; shelf life is a minimum of 12 months.
