About this product
This DEWALT Extreme 2 metal drill bit is designed for drilling steel, alloyed and non-alloyed, up to 900N/mm, and can also be used effectively in wood and plastic. It suits both portable and stationary drilling, and is particularly suited to sheet or thin materials where accurate, burr-free holes are needed. A strong central core with tapered web reduces breakage, while a gold ferrous oxide coating helps prevent overheating and extends bit life. The patented split pilot point (no-walk tip) eliminates walking or slipping on contact, aiding accurate positioning even on curved surfaces. Three flat sides prevent slipping in the chuck, and permanent size markings above the shank improve visibility. Specification: HSS head type, 8.5mm diameter, 72mm working length, 117mm overall length, supplied as a single bit.
