About this product

This Faithfull step drill bit cuts a range of hole diameters from 6mm to 20mm, rising in 2mm increments, without needing to change tools. Made from high-speed steel (HSS), it is suited to sheet metal and plastic up to 4mm thick, making it useful for tasks such as cable glands, conduit fittings and medium-sized fixings. It is not suitable for hardened steel or thicker materials. The bit has an 8mm diameter shank for a secure grip in standard drill chucks. As the cutting edges are sharp and become hot in use, the workpiece should be clamped securely rather than held by hand, and eye protection and correct drill speed are recommended.
