About this product
This Irwin masonry drill bit is 10mm in diameter with a 160mm total length, suited to deeper drilling through cavity walls and thick masonry. It is designed for fast, efficient drilling in brickwork, concrete and breeze block, particularly with cordless drills, and is claimed to drill up to 60% faster than competitive bits. The single flute design aids dust removal to maintain drilling speed, while the pressed diamond-ground carbide tip gives an aggressive cutting action and is said to offer 20% longer life than previous Irwin masonry bits. The body is chrome vanadium with a high carbon content, allowing greater hardening for added strength and rupture resistance.
