About this product

These 4.0mm HSS Cobalt drill bits from Irwin are supplied in packs of 10 and suit stainless steel and other high alloy steels, making them useful for mechanical assembly, fabrication and general maintenance work involving standard fixings, brackets and structural metalwork. Each bit contains 5% cobalt, giving improved heat and abrasion resistance and longer edge life than conventional HSS bits. A heavy-duty web construction adds rigidity and reduces the risk of breakage, while the 135° split point starts cutting immediately with minimal pressure, reducing bit walk for accurate drilling. Manufactured to DIN 338 Standards, with an overall length of 75mm and a working length of 43mm.
