About this product
The Makita HP1640 is a 240v percussion drill suited to drilling and fastening in wood, metal and masonry. Its 680w motor delivers a no-load speed of 0-2,800/min and an impact rate of 0-44,800 blows per minute, with a percussion mode adding extra force for concrete and brick. Maximum drilling diameters are 30mm in wood, 16mm in masonry and 13mm in steel.
It has a 13mm keyed chuck, a variable speed trigger for precise control, and forward/reverse rotation with equal speed and torque in both directions. An ergonomic handle with rubberised soft grip reduces fatigue, and the tool is double insulated. It weighs 2.0kg and comes with a side handle, depth gauge/stop and chuck key.
