The Roughneck GORILLA V-Series Slater's Hammer is a 600g (21oz) roofing hammer designed for slate work and general roofing applications. It is made from drop-forged, hardened and tempered steel, giving increased striking power while a V-Shock twin-beam girder shaft acts as a damper to reduce shock and vibration. This is complemented by an air-cushioned grip for comfort during extended use. The reduced weight in the shaft shifts the centre of gravity towards the head, improving balance and reducing effort with each strike. A pick end allows holes to be punched in slates quickly, while an integrated nail puller removes the need for a separate tool. A lanyard hole in the base of the handle allows secure tethering for working at height.
