About this product
This kit contains three 70 x 200mm diamond whetstones, electroplated with monocrystalline diamond in 400G coarse, 600G medium and 1000G fine grits, taking an edge from initial restoration through to fine honing. Each stone sits in an ABS plastic base with non-slip pads for stability, and can be removed for independent use.
Unlike traditional abrasive stones, the diamond surface stays flat and does not groove over time, giving consistent straight edges on precision tools such as chisels and plane irons. The stones sharpen carbon steel, HSS and tungsten carbide, and can also abrade glass, ceramic tiles and porcelain.
Suited to general sharpening of knives, scissors, chisels, plane blades, cutting blades and TCT router bits. The stones can be used dry or with water as a lubricant, with no oils required.
