About this product
This Irwin 8mm mortar rake starter kit is a carbide-tipped angle grinder accessory for removing mortar and cement joints when repointing brickwork, and for chasing channels for cables, pipes and switchboxes. It offers a more controlled alternative to demolition chisels or standard grinding discs, which can easily damage surrounding masonry. The kit includes an adjustable sole plate for consistent, variable depth control, protecting nearby brickwork during use. Three aluminium reduction rings (41mm, 42.5mm and 43mm) allow the sole plate to fit most popular angle grinders on the UK market. Contents: one sole plate, two 3-cutters (8mm), one adaptor, and three aluminium reduction rings.
