This Starrett Fastcut Bi-Metal Holesaw is designed for tradespeople who need reliable hole cutting in wood, plastics and metals. The bi-metal construction combines high-speed steel teeth, electron beam welded to an alloy steel body, giving good durability and extended tool life even in demanding use.
Compared with earlier constant pitch saws, this design offers a smoother, faster cut, with a variable pitch tooth form providing 5.5 TPI/25mm for improved heat and wear resistance. It is particularly suited to cutting stainless and mild steel sheet, and will also cut through tubes with a wall thickness of up to 3mm. Cutting depth is 41mm, and the holesaw fits standard arbors.
