About this product
The Dormer E500 is a set of three HSS coarse metric taps for M14 x 2mm threading, suitable for general-purpose work in steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals. The straight flute design supports both hand and machine use, giving effective chip removal for smooth, accurate threads through or blind holes.
The set comprises the taper (first), second (intermediate) and bottoming (third/plug) taps, allowing progressive threading of blind holes. Made to ISO 529 with a right-hand coarse thread and 6H (Class 2) tolerance, the taps have a bright surface finish and overall length of 95mm.
