About this product
The Dormer P809 is a solid carbide rotary burr with an oval (E-shape) profile, designed for precision contouring and finishing work. Its double-cut flute geometry gives efficient material removal and a smooth surface finish, with the oval ball nose design aiding skip-flute grinding, strength at the centre and reduced swarf congestion. It is suitable for use on steel, cast steel, stainless steel, cast iron, copper alloys, high-temperature alloys and hardened materials. The toughened, hardened steel shank provides rigidity and strength, helping to prevent bending and reduce vibration for improved tool life, while special brazing gives strong bonding between carbide and shank. Specification: cut diameter 3mm, shank diameter 3mm, working length 6mm, overall length 38mm, cylindrical shank, bright (uncoated) finish.
