Irwin IRWIN® Blue Groove 4X Long Flat Bit 30 x 400mm 10502844

The Irwin Blue Groove 4X Long Flat Bit in 30mm x 400mm provides powerful drilling capability for very large diameter applications in timber construction and installation work. This substantial size is ideal for creating holes for larger waste pipes, substantial mechanical installations, heavy-duty conduit runs, and structural penetrations through deep timber sections. The impressive 30mm cutting diameter combined with the extended 400mm shank makes this bit essential for construction professionals, plumbers, and mechanical installers tackling demanding drilling tasks through floor joists, multiple wall studs, and roof timbers. The patented Blue Groove technology with its specially designed groove point cuts efficiently through timber rather than scraping, achieving speeds up to 4 times faster than traditional flat bits even at this substantial diameter. The parabolic scoop design ensures optimal chip removal, preventing clogging and maintaining clean, accurate holes. Featuring a reinforced shank that's 10% larger in diameter for maximum durability and an enhanced 17° relief angle for improved cutting performance, this bit delivers the professional-grade reliability required for the most intensive trade applications.
