About this product
The DeWalt DCS397 is a 54v XR FlexVolt cordless alligator saw designed for cutting porous or fibrous construction materials such as aerated concrete, insulation and clay block. Its brushless motor delivers corded-level performance, while the two saw blades run in opposite directions along the 430mm blade length, keeping the workpiece stable rather than moving as it's cut.
The saw features an aluminium gearcase housing that is dust sealed, along with the bearings, for durability while keeping weight down. No load stroke rate is 2,400 strokes per minute, with a 40mm stroke length and a blade stop time of 0.2 seconds.
This listing is for the bare unit only, supplied without batteries, charger or case, though it comes with TCT blades and a hex key. FlexVolt batteries are backwards compatible with DeWalt's 18v XR li-ion tool range.
