Sikkens Cetol HLS Plus Translucent Woodstain in Dark Oak is a low build, solvent-borne semi-gloss woodstain supplied in a 1 litre size, suited to smaller exterior projects such as windows, doors, garden furniture or touch-up work. It is highly translucent, allowing the natural woodgrain to show through, and offers protection against mould, algae, UV radiation, peeling and cracking. The microporous, water-repellent formulation lets timber breathe.
It can be used as a finishing coat on exterior softwood and hardwood substrates including cladding, fascias and fencing, or as a base stain that absorbs into timber ready for a finishing coat. It can be used alone on cladding, decking and garden furniture, or as a base before other Cetol finishing coats on windows and doors. It should not be used alone as a finish on hardwood timbers.
