About this product
Sikkens Cetol HLS Plus Translucent Woodstain in Walnut is a low build, solvent-borne semi-gloss woodstain used both as a base stain and as a finishing coat. This 1 litre size suits smaller exterior projects such as windows, doors and garden furniture, giving a rich, translucent walnut tone that lets the natural woodgrain show through.
It protects against mould and algae, resists UV radiation, peeling and cracking, and is microporous and water-repellent. It can be applied as a finishing coat on exterior softwood and hardwood substrates including cladding, fascias, soffits and fencing, or used as a base stain that absorbs into timber ahead of a finishing coat.
It can be used alone as a complete system on cladding, decking and garden furniture, or as a base before Cetol Filter 7 Plus or Cetol THB Plus on windows and doors. It should not be used alone as a finish on hardwood timbers.
