About this product
Bondloc B222 Screwlock is a thixotropic anaerobic threadlocker of low strength, supplied here in a 50ml bottle. It cures only when confined between metal parts, and its low strength formulation allows treated fasteners to be disassembled easily when required. The thixotropic consistency helps prevent unwanted flow during application.
It is suited to small fasteners such as set screws, brass components, and most small threaded nuts, bolts, screws, and hex or slot driven fasteners, including keyed fasteners. It prevents loosening caused by vibration and stops leakage through threaded fastenings.
The resin is dimethacrylate, coloured purple/white, with a shelf life of 12 months at 20°C and a full cure time of 12 hours at 20°C. Typical strength is 6Nm on M10 fasteners, with breakaway torque ranging from 4Nm to 12Nm.
