About this product
Bondloc B542 is a thixotropic liquid sealant that cures anaerobically to form a tough, high-pressure seal on threaded couplings used on low, medium and high-pressure hydraulic lines. It suits all types of hydraulic connections, and can be used on valves, threaded couplings, adaptors, quick disconnect parts and compression fittings, as well as for vibration-proofing joints. The thixotropic formula resists dripping during application.
Supplied in a 50ml bottle, this size suits frequent use and larger jobs such as workshop maintenance or extensive hydraulic system work. The resin is a brown dimethacrylate, with fixture speed of 10-20 minutes without activator, full cure in 12 hours, and shelf life of 2 years at 20°C. Operating range is -55°C to +150°C.
