About this product
Bondloc B243 is a medium-strength anaerobic threadlocker supplied in a 50ml bottle, suited to regular workshop, maintenance and production use where threadlocking is needed often. It is oil tolerant, allowing direct application onto parts in an as-received condition, such as those with light oily films or where surrounding contamination is an issue during maintenance, removing the need for degreasing beforehand.
The formulation is a blue thixotropic modified methacrylate resin with a specific gravity of 1.04, cure speed of 85°C, and a shelf life of 12 months at 20°C. It withstands operating temperatures from -53°C to +150°C, reaches full cure in 24 hours, and has a typical breakaway strength of 12 N/mm with a prevailing strength of 8–10 N/mm, allowing reliable locking that still permits standard tool disassembly.
