About this product
The Makita HP2070 is a 110v percussion drill with a 1,010w motor, suited to construction, renovation and general building work. It offers rotation-only and hammer drilling modes, with a two-speed gearbox and variable speed dial giving no-load speeds of 0-1,200/0-2,900rpm and impact rates of 0-24,000/58,000bpm, so speed can be matched to the material.
It drills up to 40mm in wood, 20mm in masonry and concrete, and 16mm (or 13mm per one source) in steel, using a keyed chuck with 1.5-13mm capacity. A torque limiter and soft start protect against kickback, and a reversing system avoids speed loss when reversing.
The drill has a rubberised grip and a recessed lock-on button, weighs around 2.5-2.6kg, and is supplied with a side handle, depth stop/gauge, chuck key and carry case.
