About this product
The Makita HP2070 is a 240v percussion drill built for construction, renovation and general home improvement work. Powered by a 1,010W motor, it offers rotation-only and hammer drilling modes, with a mechanical 2-speed gearbox and electronic dial for presetting maximum speed. A reversing system prevents motor speed reduction in reverse, and a torque limiter helps prevent damage if the bit hits reinforcement.
It features a rugged aluminium gear housing, rubberised soft grip, double insulation, recessed lock-on button, soft start and variable speed control, plus a keyed 13mm chuck. No load speeds are 0-1,200/0-2,900rpm with impact rates of 0-24,000/0-58,000bpm. Maximum drilling diameters are 40mm in wood, 20mm in masonry, 20mm in concrete and 13-16mm in steel.
Weighing around 2.5-2.6kg, it comes supplied with a side handle, depth gauge, chuck key and carrying case.
